im finally getting around to posting about our honeymoon. we went to
puerto vallarta,
mexico. we had so much fun in the sun!!
we left the morning after our wedding at like 5am. we stayed at hotel that was 20 minutes outside of the city. it was beautiful! it was like a little of the rain forest next to the ocean. i wish i was there!!
our pool. we would sleep in, eat,
layout, eat, maybe go into the city if not we would lay out,
eat, go to sleep...
repeat for 7 days. loved it.
this guy or gal lived at our pool,
they had a big rock with plants and he would
come out once a day or so.
we were shocked the first time we saw him.
everyone said there was a family
that lived in there,
we weren't sure which one we saw each time.
right across the street from our hotel,
where we would catch the bus.
on the bus heading to the city.
i was a little worried about riding on the bus,
but i am so glad we did. we rode with the locals,
the bus was so old and so hot.
and we paid like 7 cents to ride!

(i have a love hate
relationship with
mexico.
i loved loved our honeymoon don't get me wrong,
i just wanted to buy everything
from everyone. it broke my heart
seeing some of the people.
it is not like
tijuana where little kids
walk around trying to sell
chickletsbut, it still broke my heart.)
behind us is a river that leads to the ocean,
the local kids played in it all day.
the water was warm and shallow.
you could walk across the bridge,
eat and hang out on the beach.
we ate across the bridge one night, it was delicious!!
at the steak and seafood
restaurant.
(there were 3 places besides the buffets,
where we could eat, 1 time each)
the
italian restaurant. this place took forever.....
our reservation was at 730 we were the last to leave at 11.
not worth the wait. and since we don't eat at fancy places,
we had no idea how to order here.
we left still hungry.

it was really good!

he only problem with this seat in
the buffet was you would see all of the stray dogs.
i love dogs and it was awful
to see how skinny they were.
at the beach. we would usually stay at the pool
until 3 or 4 and then it was shaded by the
hotel so we would make our way to the beach.
the water was great, no waves and warm.
we ordered room service one night,
it was $12 for anything you wanted
on the menu. i am pretty sure we
ordered one of everything and ate it all.

snorkeling. i was really
excited to try this,
however it wasn't my favorite. i got a little
sea sick and i was freaked out by all the fish i saw
under water. our snorkel guide was
awesome he gave us each a piece of bread to
feed the fish and they would come right up
to our hand. freaky! he also went down so
far and brought up fish, like the one above.
i hope that fish didn't die just so
i could get that pic. it was only out of the water
for 1 second i swear. while on this adventure,
we met some friends, for the rest of
the trip we hung out with them by the pool.
