jordan is 27 today! so here is 27 reasons why i love him.

12. he ran 28 miles last night. what? yeah that is more then a marathon. him and a friend have the same bday. so since jo is turning 27 and logan is turning 29 they decided to split and run 28. CRAZIES! Logan ran 18 and had to call it quits but jordan ran ALL 28. even though i think he is a nut, i am very proud of him. if he sets his mind to it he'll do it!

my dad is one of a kind! i can always count on my dad. he has taught me so many lessons. now looking back, he was always right, i wish i would have listened. my dad is a very hard worker, strong, athletic and has a very kind heart. my dad is very selfless and giving. he loves me and i know it. he makes me laugh, makes me happy and makes me better. my dad is always there to cheer me on, he never missed my games or anything else i participated in. he always said "strong mind, strong heart, strong body" and it always got me through. i love him and don't know where i would be without him.


bob, my father in law, is also wonderful! he is loving, kind, and helpful. he gives good advice. bob loves his family and shows it. he makes me feel welcome. bob taught jordan so many things and i couldn't be more grateful. i love his magic tricks. bob is so optimistic. this last year he has shown me how strong he is, how to make the best of a bad situation and not once did i see him even seem a little defeated. i am thankful for him. i love him.

the mothers in my life

my mom, is wonderful. she may just be the best mom. my mom is fun, funny, smart, nice, loving and works hard. she has always supported me in everything i do. she always tells me i am pretty, makes me feel better when i am down. since i was young she has always been there to talk to me, give me advice and listen. she makes me feel loved and special. she has taught me how to believe in myself, she pushes me. my mom never missed a game, she cheered for me! she taught me how to love and be loved. she always told me how she would always be there for me and she was. i love her.

my mother in law, is also wonderful. for 8 long years she made me feel apart of their family even though it wasn't official. she supported me. she too gave me advice. and i always knew she was rooting for me to one day marry her son. she is funny, caring and kind. makes yummy sugar cookies and always leaves a few without frosting just for me! i admire her love for her family. and she made one fine boy. love her too.

i am so thankful for all the mothers in my life. i am very lucky to have grandmas, aunts, friends etc. to show me what being a mom is all about. i hope one day to be like them!

a week ago my brother and his gf jordi came to visit. it was so much fun seeing markus, he rarely comes home :( and it was great to finally meet jordi. we started off the week going to one of our favorite places to eat, pagoda.

these are the only pictures i took, all of them being at pagoda and they were here for a whole week. here are a few other things we did.

we could some up this list by saying we ate and ate and ate and ate!!

jordi also wished for snow saturday night, since it doesn't snow in santa cruz and sunday morning we all woke up to snow. no one else was happy besides her. markus helped her make a snow man, and my mom and dad took them sledding and to park city.

it was such a fun week! i am so glad they came. hopefully they will come back soon!

marriage.

today, j and i have been married for 6 months. where does time go? i am very happy that i married him and that we get to experience each day with each other. i love him, he makes me better, he tells me i am pretty, and he is always there to talk some sense into me. j is my best friend, he listens to me, even though sometimes his advice isn't what i want, i trust him and i know he is being honest. i don't know what i would do without him. he is so handsome, and funny, and strong. i love that he wants a healthy body, and pushes me to want the same. he keeps me safe, and grounded. he makes sure all the bills are paid. cooks dinner, loves our dogs. j tells me he appreciates me and he even copes with my crazy cleaning ocd. he makes me feel better when i am down and most of all, he loves me and i know it! now don't get me wrong, marriage is challenging at times and sometimes we fight, but i love him and i am grateful for him everyday.


funny.. we never, in our 8+ years of dating have we ever celebrated any sort of anniversary. and now we have been married for 6 months and we went all out today. jordan took me to lunch at kneaders, so yummy. have any of you ever tried their raspberry bread pudding? if not you should asap. its so good and i don't even like dessert.
and for dinner we went to chilis, i love it there. i ate way more then i should, and after we got more of that yummy bread pudding. really? fat day. not to mention i didn't work out either.
AND... j bought me a way cute purse. perfect for spring! thx babe!

doggy stories.

the last week we have been full of dog problems, good thing we love them.


BOSTON.

b, the poor guy, has had some skin issues lately. i was very worried that something was wrong, like he had worms or something. i took him to the vet, they told us no worms (thank goodness.) but like any other dr they gave us 2 options of what it could be, don't they go to school for a long time to give me an answer? well... they said it could be a skin infection or it might be knox and his baby teeth. they offered meds that we decided to get just in case. turns out to be knox. lots of $$$ for nothing.


COHAN.

well, he really isn't the issue, i left him outside. i still don't know if i left him out when trying to bring the dogs in from the back yard or if he came out with me while i was taking out the garbage. i noticed awhile later that he wasn't down stairs with the rest of us, i tried calling him and he didn't come, i went looking for him and he was no where to be found. i checked out the side door and there he was waiting me to let him in. he is such a good boy! i am so thankful he didn't run away.

KNOX.

knox is huge. he is getting bigger and bigger everyday. and on top of him growing like crazy, he was not smelling to great. i gave him a bath and thought that solved the problem... then we were outside playing and the wind blew his ears up and boy did it smell. i figured out that his ears were really stinky. i made another trip to the vet and he had an ear infection and a yeast infection in his ears. so sad. he had to get some shots and his ears cleaned out, as well as, a prescription. he is now so much better and not smelly.

love my doggies! hopefully we won't be seeing the vet until there next vaccinations.

getting caught up.

wow. time flies. i can't believe its already been 5 weeks since my last post.
sometimes i sit down to blog and sometimes i struggle with knowing what or how i want to write about it. i am definitely not a writer. and why does it take so long for my pictures to upload. i can hardly stand it, but i do love looking back at my posts and remembering the things we do.

here is a few things we have been up to, more to come...

a few weekends ago we had a sleepover with victor. we picked him up, stopped at chilies, came home watched a movie, well like 10 minutes of the movie! saturday we spent most of the day playing around at the sports mall. i love love having victor around.

the very next weekend victor came with me my mom and dad to wyoming to watch mariah's regional game. we had so much fun, too bad she lost :( and don't worry we got stuck in casper, wy for the night since it dumped snow for hours. too bad i only took 2 pics of the whole weekend.

THE DOG FARM... ha! ammie, my mom and dad came over to help out with some things around our house, and everyone brought their dogs. (my mom and dad have 3, ammie only has 1, we add another 3!) yes we have a huge yard and its so fun for the dogs. yes we also have a huge yard that needs grass, anyone know where to get really cheap sod?? we need ALOT!

mariah's Birthday. mariah was here for spring break, and while she was here it was here 19th birthday!! i am so glad we got to celebrate with her. we ate at la costa (so yummy, everyone needs to try it!) then went to see limitless with bradley cooper. i still don't know how i feel about this movie, i liked the idea behind it but i am not sure i like the movie. anyway, happy birthday to merna, can't believe she is 19 already. love her and can't wait for summer to go to the pool every single day with her!

kay (mom-in-law) march 6th... she always gives good, honest advice. loves her children and their spouses unconditionally.
mariah (sister) march 18th... best sister on earth.
morgan (sis-in-law) march 20th... so driven. she is now going to school to be a nurse practitioner
angie (sis-in-law)... march 21st... THE best scrapbooker & decorater i know. (i wish i could hire her to make gifts, cards, etc & decorate my house.) i also love that she is ocd about cleaning like me.
stockton (nephew) march 25th... one of the smartest 9 year olds i know, and is very polite. s also makes the best cards.
crew (nephew) march 25th.... this boy is so cute & loves his mama. he doesn't talk, and i can't describe the sound he makes with words but i love it.
**side note how crazy is it that s & c have the same birthday and they are brothers, 7 years apart?!**
tasha (sis-in-law almost!) march 27th... tash would do anything for anyone.
anne (cousin) march 31st... love her, she has always been a good friend and i think she is brave.
