the last month or two!

i don't really know how people update weekly. not only do i feel like i don't have the time, i do the same thing almost everyday. even though that probably sounds incredibly boring, its not! i have a great life and i really like to stick to a schedule, it makes me feel better.

for 9 days we had an extra boy come over. 4 boys 3 and under is hard work. we loved having kai over, but i don't know how anyone would survive 4 boys that young for your real life!

this year instead of setting a resolution for the whole year i decided to set a few goals every month. janurary was a complete fail. so i just moved right on to feburary and march! his month one of those goals was to be a fun mom/nanny. like is said i like to stick to my schedule, which really doesn't involve leaving my house with 3 kids. it makes me a little overwhelmed. but i want to be better. lately we've done a few things. 1.  we went to south towne mall to play at the dino land and have lunch. 2. we went to the dino museaum at thanksgiving point and to lunch. which was at the time a complete nightmare. i wanted to go because matthew LOVES dinos and he HATED it. he was scared to death. but when we got home matthew asked if we could go back the next day. so it turned out to be ok!

we switched b to a toddler bed. it was a complete  nightmare. we were about to put the crib back up and i decided to start some sleep training instead. he's never been a good sleeper, crib or no crib! it was really getting out of hand... like he wouldn't go to bed until 11 or 12 at night, he was waking up all the time, he wouldn't sleep unless it was in my bed. so i decided i would let him go in his bed by himself and cry for a few minutes. the first few days weren't too bad and then all of the sudden like day 4 was so terrible, i considered giving up. now we are doing a little better, its still only day 7. he is still waking up at least 2 times in the middle of the night but we are making progress and im very hopeful its going to get better soon. also, when bedtime rolls around he can feel it and gets really anxious about going to bed. its so sad. he doesn't want to leave my side. sometimes i wish i would have been a little braver  and worked on his sleep when he was younger, i know it would have been easier.

b loves books and i love it. he's always asking to read with me or i find him by himself reading his books or he likes to read to baby walker.

b loves nothing more then to be shooting hoops. he seriously is so good at it too!

  

he also loves watching mariah play. we recently got to watch her play at westminster and in dickinson for her senior night. i cannot believe she is done playing and will graduate in a few months. i still feel like she is 15 and i need to tell her what to do.

sometimes these 2 drive me nuts together... they tease each other, they steal each others toys, they hit each other, they have a hard time sharing. and then there are moments like these that remind me how much they really do love each other!

jordan has loved to throw b in the air since b joined us. it scares me to death but b really likes it! they are goof balls most of the time together, but i sure love them.

we are all so happy that it is starting to warm up. we LOVE it outside!!

when i was younger, i swore up and down that my child would never act like my brother markus. markus was so wild! he ran crazy most of the time. well... b is exactly like him. good thing markus grew up to be a great, giving boy. i love my b and i really wouldn't change him. 

 and keeping with markus, he gave b this kobe basketball jersey and now beckett is obsessed! he wants to wear it all the time!

2 weeks in 1 post!

well, here we are behind again. 

im not lying when i say this... remember when i told you last post that b was starting to sleep better? funny thing happened that very night he slept like garbage. he hasn't been sleeping as well. he's been so sick. and then he got better and now he's sick again. neat. i feel like he gets sick a lot. im not sure what i need to do, i always have him wear a hat, i wash his hands... what else?

beckett will eat anything! he really likes everything. it is so nice! here he is eating our fav Chinese, a little olive garden and a lime. ha!

 we love when jordan plays a sport and we can go watch. b seriously loves it!! he runs all over and yells dada dada the whole time!

 

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!  i seriously had a full birthday week. i went and got lunch and pedis with my mom, my dad bought me new doors for my upstairs plus some paint for those doors and my basement bathroom, my bff brought me a my fav cookie and some great running pants,we went to dinner at the cantina, my besties took me to dinner, i got my air ducts cleaned out, a bunch of friends and family got together and ate yummy food and played a super funny game. loved every second! i am so so blessed with such wonderful people. thanks so much for such a great birthday!

 

beckett loves babies. its the cutest!

 

it seems like by the minute mr. becks is getting older and older. its a love/hate kind of thing. i love seeing him learn new things. i love looking back and seeing how he has changed. his personality is seriously so funny! i love hearing call me mama and j dada, it melts my heart. BUT i hate that he is getting more independent and that the time is flying right by.

b is getting more daring by the day.

he loves fire trucks.

he loves anything basketball and always yells "yiya" whenever he sees someone playing ball.

 he is obsessed with barney. he really likes "lets go to the farm" and "firehouse"

he really likes music. he sings the wheels on the bus so well I LOVE IT!
his fav song is probably the farm song from barney.

he also loves dogs. 

he had his second sleepover at gma and gpa durans house. he loved it of course. they went to jungle jims and toys R us and ate pancakes for dinner. way more fun then mom!

i sure love him so much!
